Title: Wms bb2 won't power on

I have wms bb2 goldfish that won't power on. When I turn on the power switch nothing happens. I replaced the power supply and still absolutely nothing happens.

Does the fan turn in the power supply?

If so, there should be green LED lights lit up on the right side of the bulkhead.

Check to be sure the switch plug (molex type) is firmly connected to the power supply. The switch is remote from the PS on these machines and sometimes the switch will go a bit wonky. There is a fuse in the PS as well I believe.

Confirm power at the wall outlet as well..............

The fan does not turn on. No lights on anything. Completely dead. I put new fuses in the ps pnd verified they had continuity. Is there a way to test and or bypass the power switch to see if that's the culprit?

Wit the power switch off, and the door open is the light inside the cabinet on?

No. No lights, no sounds at all. But the service light inside the cabinet never worked before this issue.

Attached is a schematic for the connections for P2 and P3 on the power supply.  If you have a volt meter you can check ac power though the switch using them.  You can also check the switch with an ohm meter for continuity by disconnecting the P2 and P3, probing the correct pins and toggling the switch to see if you get continuity.

This should eliminate a faulty switch, since you said you replaced the power supply I suspect the switch is at fault

So I checked the power supply output and continuity through the switch. No issues found. Is it possible the backplane went bad? If it did go bad is that enough to completely kill the whole machine. Meaning no lights or sound at all?

If you are sure the PS is a good working one and fuse is good, and you made absolutely sure that you have power at the wall outlet,
then I am at a loss to explain your issue.

You said you've "checked the power supply output".

Swap the main power harness if you are certain the power supply is good.

If you don't have another power supply harness....check each pin inside the Molex housings.

Make sure all pins are where they are supposed to be and not pulled out.

NEVER pull out any Molex connector by the wires.
