Title: Error 65-0 65-1
Post by: Like2know on August 29, 2014, 09:34:18 PM
Everything was working then I ran the set 15 chip to enable BV then I get a error 65-1 I didn't change or add anything to any device or chip only the game chip to run the set chip to open the door and close it and I still get 65-1 so then I went and ran a Ram clear chip ivc123 then I get a error 65-0 open and close the door many times to reset it.  Turn the jk a few times.  Pull the plug for an hour still no luck.  All the Harness jacks or plug in tight.  Optical are working no other chips or devices been added.  My board chip is 1058 SP S-PLUS machine

I use the set 15 chip four times and same thing also Ran the 058 chip three times.  Same results been used to clear chip three times same thing.

You've been around here long enough to know where the FAQs are.  There's a sticky thread right here in the S+ section with a link to common IGT S+ errors and their resolutions.

Some notes to help you out with your troubleshooting:

- There's nothing in the resolutions for a 65-1 or a 65-0 that suggests you should open and close the door many times, turn the jackpot reset key, or pull the power plug.  If you come across an unfamiliar error code, check the list first and also consider searching this site or the archive site for the error code to find threads about the problem.

- In case you're not familiar with it, the EEPROM is soldered to the fixed motherboard in the bottom (or back) of your machine -- it is not located on the removable MPU board.

- Before you go and change out the EEPROM on the motherboard, try installing a vastly different SP chip (or a different MPU board with a different SP chip) to try and give the EEPROM a kick in the pants to start working again.  It may or may not work, but it should only take a couple of minutes to try and it's easier than replacing the EEPROM or the motherboard.

Most of the vendors on the main page. I personally have purchased from central valley slots. And was extremely happy.  Also have ordered from Rudy's no problems there.

I thought for the 65-1 you just push and hold the test button until it clears.

That was the first thing I tried that did not work.  Neither place has any motherboards for S-PLUS I've found 2 one of them $140 and the other $159 dollars.  That's ridiculous compared to the main board for $24.00 total.  is there any way to test the one I have and replace what is bad: on that? :thank_you:

On the 6 S+'s I have done this past week. I got 65-3 turned key, got 65-1, opened door and held test button until it went blank. Then ready to go.
