Title: What IGT S+ Slot Is this?- for all to learn
Post by: starcrest on September 01, 2014, 04:05:35 PM
Some people have never seen one Except In a casino and others may have worked on one,
I got one and lost all reports of what It Is....(1989) haven't seen one since...
I thought we could share with others on what It Is,  and what to do with It...let everyone have exposure to this Slot...
If you guys that have worked on It,  will you give me your Input....To jog my memory...
Right now I have no MPU /CPU only Mother board....I tried to Install a IGT S+ MPU board on it , But; The support can
(which has the transformer screwed on the mpu board and can) was 1/4 inch too tall and will not fit under the Switch control box
(power on /off and reset sw)....Therefore I don't know what parts to order....
Can you help us all............Hope I'm not out of place......and pray my pics come out ok.....Hope everyone had a happy Labor day....

1989 is going to be a "S" slot or a very early S-plus. The slant tops take a different MPU tray then the uprights. Pictures are too small and fuzzy to tell

It would be an S+ since it has a DBV in upper cabinet.

Coorslight you are right about the MPU tray....I tried the S+ and It wouldn't fit, By a 1/4 of an Inch.....Once I figure out what It Is I can try and order the right MPU and Tray.....

you can see the difference here. I have the tray but no MPU. You can have the tray for just shipping cost if you need it.

Get the tray from coorslight115 and then just buy any S+ 10mhz mpu board and you are set.  You should get spare S+ mpu boards anyway while you can still get them.

I agree Rick, Coors light, Can you measure that tray for me... from top to bottom on each side.....Width (10 7/16" and Length (13 5/8")It should be a little shorter on the width.....by 1/4 "......or so....
It seems like the one I already have for S+.....If It fits, let me know how you want work out the details.....I'm Open.....
