Title: DBV-45-SG not working
Post by: JethroP on April 12, 2021, 10:39:47 PM
Picked up a Sigma Draw Poker that all works except the bill acceptor.  The bill acceptor doesn't cycle or make any noise at all.  I believe the power supply is good and the DBV is bad.  The factory label says DBV-45-SG.  On the bottom there is a sticker that someone added later (I believe identifying a software update) which says DBV-45-SH.  Questions:
1)  Are there other DBV models that I can replace this with (easy swap)?
2)  Is there a functional difference between the -SG and -SH?

basically two models were made, a SS version made for IGT, it had a flat front where the bezel was attached, the SG and SH models were made for Bally, Williams and SIgma. it had a molded plastic entrance on the front of it, certain bezels were made to fit over it as well.  the electronics and operation are the same, two versions also. one is a flash memory, and the other is a eprom memory.

a 200 head is a direct replacement.  I may still have some of these available. the only difference between the the two heads is the power supply,  if yours has vents in the black case, then it is compatible with both, no vents, you should upgrade.
