Title: Backplane swap question
Post by: Phan000 on August 07, 2021, 03:13:26 PM
Tito would not work on my bb1.  Tried both ports.  Figured it was worth a gamble to try a different backplane, in case both ports were bad.

The wiring clips are obvious,  but how do you remove the backplane?

I have taken out the three or so screws already.

Thanks!

You should remove the whole plate that the backplane is attached to to make it easier.  Besides the screws that hold it in place, there are the 4 screws that are on either side of the connectors where the mpu plugs, those need to removed.  Then there are friction tabs that hold the backplane in place.  Once you remove the connector screws and the other screws, the backplane should be able to get snapped out of the friction tabs and pivot out.
