Hello All,
Have a Bally E-2000 Series (3-reel, single pull, E2088-63) that I am trying to revive, and it was powering up fine last weekend with 50 000, and this past weekend I went back to it and now it powers up with a 0 . . . .6. error code. I have tried resetting it, attempted to go into test mode and it just wont clear. And when attempting to drop a coin in while in the state, the coin immediately dump to the trough...
Any assistance would be welcome, thanks in advance!

Unplug your power supply connector and plug it in a couple of times.
Make sure the battery has at least 3 volts on it.

Thank you for tossing me a bone on this one, will give it a try and let you know...

Do you have any dark spots on the power supply plug. That’s a sign of a loose fitting connector.

Evening all,
So for an update, I removed the hopper, and reel mechanism, re-seated all the connections throughout, including the power supply as mentioned above. I also pulled the system board and checked for any burnt/dark spots and components (everything looked clean). I also tested the voltage across the battery 4.9v...
After all this and powering it back up, still getting the same error code on the display...
Any additional thoughts or guidance?

Re-seat the 5101 RAM chip. Pull them out of their sockets, use a ink eraser to clean the legs.
Inspect the sockets for corrosion, DeOxit if necessary.

Just getting back to this with an update...
Pulled MPU board, and actually removed both 5101 chips, as well as all the ROMs and other removeable/socketed chips, cleaned board and contacts, re-inserted chips and am still getting this same code on the display at power on.
Any other suggestions?

Great news! Got the machine back to 50..000
I ended up pulling the coin mech assembly/sensor in the door, as I wasn't getting a Red light on it either. Cleaned it, put a new coin in and re-installed. Now its back to my original state...
Thanks for all the input and suggestions, chalk that one up for knowledge...
