Picked up an S2000 and have been slowly working through it to get everything working. Beyond a few parts I still need to get, there's one thing that just won't work for me. The "Insert Tickets or Bills" yellow insert never lights up. I've tried a new board, but cannot figure out what's wrong here. It appears as though the connection from the board to the DBV is correct. I haven't figured out where the 13v is supposed to be coming from, nor have I confirmed whether or not it's getting power. Suggestions as to where I should be looking? Unit is a 5-reel with a 1270 enhanced board. Appears to have had a rodent for a short stay, thankfully nothing chewed, but lots of cleaning/sanitizing needed. Been working through it for a little while, many thanks to all that have provided help to others in the past. A few searches have helped me solve most of my issues. Just stuck on this last one.
Thank you

Does the BV work or just not light up?
-
BV works like a champ. Just cannot get the bezel to light up on the machine. Could be possible that I have two bad light boards.
-
Does it have bulbs in it or does it have a LED panel?
-
LED Panel on both the boards that I have.
-
If it's plugged in at the panel and behind the BV then panel is bad or a wire has been chewed.

Thank you, time for some shopping. My OCD just can't let it stay non-op.

If you can, hook up a 9 volt battery to the led panel. It should tell you if the LED's are working, maybe a bit dim, but should light up. Get the polarity right. ( you can probably hook it up backwards and not do any damage, just for second or two if you need to). Best to hook the battery up correct.
If both of them don't light, then probably wire problem.
I can try the battery thing and post a picture tomorrow if you want to wait.

Was able to test for 13v to the panel, looks good there. Have a new panel coming, was wondering if the DBV connection could be the issue. The unit has a SC6602 setup, have connectors from the unit with 2, 3, 4 and 5 positions. Have power connected to the 2-position connector, this board is connected to the 4-pin(only two wires), and I'm assuming comms are the 5-position connector. There is nothing on the 3-position connector, which has wires at the first and third position.

yes I believe the 2 to 4 pin connector is the light. It must have a break in it somewhere.

Good to know, I think I probably just have two bad boards. I was able to ohm out the wires from card to dbv, unless its at the harness on the 6602 itself, wiring looks solid.
Thank you

I had two bad boards. Received another today and light works as expected.
Thanks for the info and suggestions.
