Title: S+ comparator parts?
Post by: moementum on October 01, 2021, 08:34:39 PM
Got my bargin basement S+ up and running. Aside from an occasional 43 error all is well. Ive noticed the after the third coin, any additional coins fall into the hopper. I removed the comparator and noticed the comb/diverter is missing. The solenoid is there. Does anyone have a spare comb/diverter? I dont need the whole assembly, just the one piece. Anyone have one lying around? Thanks in advance

Looking at the back of the comparator, the only thing there is the coil/solenoid with associated wires and the slot where the rake would be....

There is a very small spring also. I have some parts if you have not found them.

There is a small blue spring next to the coil, but thats it. I dont really see a way to attach the rake. Am I missing something?

The rake connects to the solinoid and the compatrior controls power to the solinoid.
There is no physical connection to the comparator.

that explains it. how hard is it to find just the rake? I've looked on the usual sites, but so far only complete comparators.

maybe the cc-16 is bad and that is why it is missing or was removed?  I have many of those parts lying around,  send me an address to send,

Jim

Thanks to all who replied, but special thanks to Jim @ Midwest slots. The existing solenoid appears to be functional, so I installed the rake and VIOLÁ, all coins after the third fall into the coin tray!! Thanks again to JIM @MIDWEST SLOTS for his help and the right parts!!! TOPIC SOLVED  :applause:
