Hi. I have nothing but a plug with 10 colored wires and I have a door open b. I need to bypass 2 wires. What colors are they please? Thank you
-
Blue with gray tracer and solid green.
-
Thanks , I will try that and report back.
-
Hi. No effect… to be continued
-
Here are the wires
-
That's the 15 pin connector that plugs into the bottom of the bill validator housing correct? It's easiest to bypass it at the switch. Pull the two wires off the switch in the picture and connect them together. That should do it.
-
Thanks for the pic. You mean I should bypass the yellow and the blue?
-
It's actually supposed to be green, but looks more yellow.
Just remove them from the switch, cut off the connectors, strip some insulation, twist (or solder) the wires together, then put a wire nut or electrical tape over it and the Door Open B should go away.
-
I actually only have the plug you can see on the picture, the casino attendant took everything away. So I have no wires connected to a switch. I would not want to fry anything in the machine. I have one yellow wire and greens as well. My idea was to disable the bv in the option as I have no bill acceptor installed, would that clear the tilt?
-
Are you saying that you don't have a housing for the bill validator? Can you post a picture of the interior of the machine?
Unfortunately disabling the BV in software won't clear the error.
-
All I have the plug you can see. Everything was taken away. I will post when I am back home.
-
OK. Does it have a coin acceptor or TITO board installed so you can put credits on the machine then?
-
A coin acceptor only. Machine complete.
-
OK. Cut the Blue/Gray and Green wires shown in this photo and tie them together (on the side going back to the machine). That should clear your door error message.
-
I have tied all the green ones to the blue and it stopped the machine
-
Blue/grey and green together give a Touchscreen failure
-
Oh no. Only tie the two I identified together. Take the rest of them back apart and hopefully it didn't damage anything else.
The green wire that goes to the Blue/Gray wire is SOLID green (no tracer). All the other green wires have a colored tracer. Take those pack apart.
-
I have done as explained but still Door open B
-
Do you have/know how to use a multimeter?
-
I tried in the other machine coming from the same place and your method worked i. So tomorrow, I will try to trace where there is something wrong in the other machine. Thank you for your help and patience. I will post when the problem is located and solved.
-
Ok. Those wires go back to the motherboard on connector J10 pins 5 and 6. I was going to have you pull that connector off and check to make sure you continuity between them.
Since you have another working machine as an example that should make it a bit easier to trace the problem down.
