I see I can buy the recommended NEC 323 (32 inch Monitor) for under $300.
Can I just plug in a 32 inch monitor to my BB2 CPU (in a BB1 cabinet / dual 18 inch screens / BB2 CPU)
and then for instance play Mad Hatter Tea Party, which I'm told will display sideways on my 18 inch top monitor,
then if I had an 32 inch NEC montior, could I just run that and mount it neatly over my top box?
I can weld any bracket I need to make it look nice (and not have to modify the machine).
Thanks! -Nate

The mad hatter tea party games just displays an alice doing different things. The original game has a topper box with "puppets" that mechanically move back and forth with a really small vertical LCD screen (I want to say 4.3 inch vertically mounted). So using a 32 inch screen vertically mounted on top of your cabinet would result on a very big and grainy Alice. I also don't think alice will not look right on your 4:3 monitors as it was meant to play on a 16x10, you may have part of your playfield missing or not work at all.

Good call. Thank you! I was told that if your game is meant to have a vert monitor, like a Willy Wonka game or something, it will display right, if it dipslays at all. I just can't wait to get a real BB2, problem solved. At least I'll be starting with 2 big screens and I will be able to tun alot of cool games. (the 21 inch ones).

If the game originally had a vertical monitor on top, then yes, you would have to unplug your current top screen and plug it into the vertical monitor.

Good to know. I am saving for a real BB2 with the dual 22 inch screens. I think that will play it good.

I just play the 22/32 games with the sideways display, it doesn't really bother me a whole lot. Some people mount the 32 inch monitor on the wall vertically on top of the machine to avoid altering the cabinet

Yeah, I was going to do the Vert, wall mount thing.
