Hey All. Have an IGT Game King running 6.2 - It was working fine a month ago - went to boot it up yesterday and it booted to game screen but when I came back a few min later, noticed the screen was frozen and the graphics messed up with lines and whatnot. Upon reboot, machine powers on but red light blinks on the board and bill acceptor doesn't cycle. However, when I remove the board and boot, the bill acceptor cycles and the monitor displays "no connection" or whatever, so it doesn't seem to be a monitor issue or power supply. Thinking my 044 board went bad. Even tried replacing cmos battery no luck.I tried re-seating all of the eprom connections and still no luck. Also it's not the chip itself causing the issue because I tried my regular keychip as well as regular boot chip and neither of those would get the game to boot either, unless there was something else I needed to do after swapping the DEV 39 chip. The machine was never moved, bumped, or anything like that, just sitting for a month or so off since the last house party.
See photos below.
I found a board on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/165651810075 (https://www.ebay.com/itm/165651810075) but wondering if it would work with mine as it has some kind of conversion kit where my other board would go with my DEV39 chip. I'd buy this board if I knew it would work, just not sure what that conversion module is for. The assy # is exactly the same as mine.
Thanks! You guys have been great in the past when I've had issue with my Game King :)

The red light could be from the MPU or the flashboard. The legacy conversion board on ebay is so you can run 3902 games on the 044 MPU.

if it's the flash board many times they can be brought back to life. before you buy a board you can send off the 044 and flash to see which one is the problem.

Where can I send my boards to, to get them looked at / serviced?
Thanks.

matt411 - Your MPU is bad, your flashboard is good, and your inbox is full.

Just wanted to thank Mark for testing my boards! The 044 MPU board was bad - found another one on Ebay and got it running again! Thanks again for everyone's help as always - this site has been a blessing anytime I've had issues with my Gameking!
He said 044 boards are repairable only to an extent for now, but I've decided to hold on to my old board, as I wouldn't mind having a backup if it was indeed repairable. Idk what usually goes on these boards nor do I have the knowledge to repair one.
