Title: Weird pixelization and colored blocks
Post by: SilverFerret on December 03, 2022, 10:26:37 AM
Hi all,
I don't know how to resolve this issue. As you can see in the pics, it does some weird things. It goes from the big colored blocks to the pixelized screen and back and forth between them. It's an 044 CPU with a legacy board with 3902 software. I've tried changing software, swapping legacy boards and using an 044 program and it is still messed up. What might I check/replace next?
Thanks for any help, Jim

I would check for a bent pin going to backplane. Do you have another 044 board to swap?

I don't have another. I'll check for a bent pin but would be surprised because the machine was on for a while before all of a sudden doing this, and it has done it ever since.

Well if it does it with both a flashboard or a 3902 set it is probably the MPU. (or the backplane)

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of.
I guess I'll have to budget one or both.
Thanks, Jim
