Title: Trying to figure out what slot machine I use to play
Post by: newkid3 on March 24, 2023, 12:46:58 PM
Hello all, I am trying to figure out what slot machine I use to play in Tunica at Fitgeralds years ago. I think it was a Ballys machine but I could be wrong. It was a penny machine that was video. It had like 4 games on it you could pick from. I think one game had bees another had sharks and another had parrots. I dont know what the fourth game was for sure. Does anyone know what machine this could be? I am pretty sure it is ok to post this here but if not please move it. Thanks

Maybe you were on an IGT AVP loaded with four different games on it?
I'm thinking the parrots could be from a game called Turtle Bay or Pearl Bay.
I wonder if there's sharks on Lucky Larry's Lobstermania? lol I don't know these games that much.
The top box, did it have just a piece of glass or was it a video screen?

The top box was just plastic or glass. It was probably about 15 years or so when I played them. I don't know if the 4 games where also on separate machines and this was just special machines with software package with all four games in one. It was bees, whales, parrots and sharks.
                                                                        Thanks

It was a VLC machine. Here are pics of 3 of the games that were on it. I still have to figure out the fourth game. They were in a small upright cabinet with a fairly small monitor. It was a penny machine. It only had 4 games on it. You could change denominations. At the time I played them you could bet as little as 9 cents. The ones I have seen so far have a bunch of games on them. Thanks

Your pictures are a 8825 VLC.Mine are of a 8724 machine.

You can choose how many games you want to load on the setup.

I wonder if there are any of these out there for sale. My sister loved those games back then. She talks about them still today. If I could find one at a good price and fairly close I might buy her one. Thanks

I thought that was what you had played. Yes the 8825 has 10 games, I have a couple of them. They are great machines until the battery goes dead. But not all is lost if you have the 8825. You can send the board in to have new batteries put on and reset the board. As far as I know there is no support for the 8725.

Yes I have played them in Tunica at Fitzgerald's and Hollywood's. My sister played them in Vagas and was with me when I played them in Tunica. My wife and brother in law was with us also. My sister and brother in law probably played them other places also. Never did see them in any of the other Casinos in Tunica but that does not mean they did not have them. My sister was why I was trying to find the info. Thanks

That is the video I found and watched last night in my search after some pointers in the right direction on here. That is what made me realize that was the right type of machine with the games we played years ago. Thanks

I picked up a slot machine that MY sister used to play as a gift for her as well. With the help of many on this board I got it going and she LOVES it. She enjoyed it so much we've added 2 more slot machines to her game room. She told me she still plays the first one most of the time.
I wish you luck in finding your game it would make a great gift to your sister.
