Does a Bally 809 slot machine have a power switch to turn the machine on/off? I can't find one.
-
very few have a power switch inside the door along the right edge.
almost all of them don't ... they were designed to be on 24x7.

Thanks....
I've looked all over and can't find a switch.

Make sure the machine did not black out during an attempt to pay out.

Had a machine with a power switch counter sunk into the bottom near the cord entrance.
Could of been done after the machine was retired.
It’s possible there’s a push button door switch that is not working.
Check continuity on the cord. They take a lot of abuse, possible non visible broken wire.
Have you checked the fuses?
What exactly is the problem?

NONE of my Bally Games have a power switch. About half of my IGT Fortune 1 games have a power switch located inside the game to the left of the hopper. I use a remote controlled outlet, can be purchased and Lowes and the like, to control the dozen games that I have. They are easier to find around Christmas but they are always in stock somewhere. 1 remote can control up to 3 banks of machines. I have used this method for 22 years now without a single incident or failure. Your mileage may vary.

Way to go Ra!
I bought a a machine years ago that had a remote that came with it.
Pretty handy device.
Regarding the topic, was it ever stated if the machine would or wouldn’t power up.
Switch or no switch.
