Title: Hopper Rebuild Issues
Post by: Mixwell on September 26, 2023, 08:29:51 PM
I bought a hopper rebuild kit off of ebay for my igt s plus and I'm having trouble as to which wire connections im supposed to make for this hopper. Also the motor is seized so I can't access the screws to the motor off. If anyone has experience with rebuilding the hopper I'd be appreciative. Also I don't know if I'm dumb but some of the sensors included in the kit simply don't exist on my hopper. Thanks!  :Scratch-Head:

Take this for whatever it's worth -- it's strictly intended to be helpful, not insulting. Are you sure that your existing hopper motor is seized up? Are you familiar with the brake mechanism used on the hopper? It automatically engages when there's no power being applied to the hopper to prevent it from overrunning and dispensing extra coins.

The brake is a little plastic piece that has a spring attached to it. Picture courtesy of TexasMark:

That's not an S+ hopper, it's a S2000/I-game hopper.  What was the original problem with it, seized up?

I'm afraid to say that "rebuild kit" you bought, is for an IGT S2000 slot machine coin hopper - not for an IGT S+ machine.

Pic 1 is a S2000 hopper.  Pic 2 is a S+.  Which one is it?
