I am having a problem with this machine. it will start up fine .dbv cycles, reels spin, no error code in payout window. but tower lamps flash, and only zeros blink in the winner paid, there is the number 623 in credit window and insert coin is lit.you can also hear light dining noise.any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks James

What does the battery voltage read?
-
Did you buy the machine like this? Have you seen it play. Just looking at the display makes me think it was cashed out for 623 coins. You say B/V cycles, are you getting the maiden spin of the reels in reverse order? More info. please
-
it's a friend's machine. yes was working fine. reels spin but I don't think in reverse? he lost reset key so I was trying to short switch, but had the door open. I think that the door has to be closed? the 623 is in credit window.

When a machine is started the reels stop from right to left. Then during play left to right. At this point the key switch is only going to put you in accounting. With the door open you can push the little white button on the front or rear of the power switch to enter diagnostic mode then touch the key switch to cycle through the tests. You normally get a code 12 for the battery. If possible take a short video and post to youtube then lost link here.

I am pretty sure that the reels spin and stop left to right. and the small white button did nothing.

My S+ triple diamond spins left to right on the maiden spin and then after the door is closed too. My S2000 goes right to left then left to right.

I think he has a hand pay situation. Yes the door needs to be closed in order for the switch to work. You could just unscrew the switch tumbler and pull it outside, close the door and the short the terminals and should clear the handpay. The keys are cheap enough to get, or if you don't want to mess it with, you can just wire a momentary push button switch instead of the one with the key.

:I_agree_1: Note the 0000....
-
:I_agree_1: I was thinking that also, but thought it was a far shot. The limits on the machine must be set low.
-
so if it is a hand pay, how to reset? use jackpot key switch? correct
-
Yes. Since you have no key you can pull the wires off and extend them out of the door. Door must be closed then touch them together momentarily and it should reset. The key is a standard 2341 key available from most vendors hear like CVSLOTS. To make sure an accidental payout does not happen, wiggle the switch with the bulb down far enough so it does not make contact from pushing cash out

thank you for the help. I have built a push button switch to connect for the moment will do for now.

Something like this is probably what was in there from the factory.
