Title: IGT S2000 door optic bypass
Post by: newkid3 on January 21, 2024, 11:10:33 AM
Hello all, I have pretty much everything I need to do the door optic bypass on the IGT S2000 and the SPLUS.
On the S2000 there is a connector behind the number 1 reel that you can undo and hook your bypass wire up to it instead of going all the way up to the door. Does anyone know what and maybe have a link to the connectors and pins needed to hook to the MPU side of that connector?  Here is the list I have together for the stuff needed so far.

Mouser
Pin.                            538-02-06-2103
Molex connector.     538-03-06-2023
20 or 22awg stranded wire
Blue female spade connectors

                                            Thanks

18 gauge stranded wire is the best size to use, or people will break them.
I've been making these harnesses for members for years...including the shorter ones, for the S2000 bypasses.
I solder all the wires to the pins, and Push-On tabs - not crimped.

Stayouttadabunker, the links you gave are actually what is left in the cabinet that I need to plug into. Do you have the links for the opposite connector and pins please. Also what crimpers do you use to do these small pins? Thanks

I always check the data sheet, and measure with my micrometer.

I dont think that is it either. It is the connector behind the number 1 reel in the S2000 machines. I need the connector that will plug into the connector in the pic. The one in the pic is the connector behind the number 1 reel that goes to the CPU board. The door optic runs across the door and back to it. If I plug in there I dont have to run the wire all of the way to the door.

     Thanks

Oh! ok.  :rotfl:
I was thinking of the S+ connectors.  :duh:
In that case, use the ones in Reply#5....lol
Remember, you only need one wire.
That plug in your hand is red and green right?
If so, use the red wire on the door emitter side.

Yeah it is the red wire I am using from the door side. It is pointy side green on cabinet side and pointy side red on the door side for the S2000. What crimper do you use for these small pins? I need to buy one. Thanks

I solder all my wiring connections.
It's much stronger and better than crimping.
For slot machine hobbyists, it's best just to get a soldering pen, a small spool of 60/40 rosin solder wire, and a small tub of soldering flux.
These items can be easily found at a local hardware store....even a Walmarts auto section. lol

If soldering isn't your bag, at least get a small pair of jewelry bead crimpers.
I found they sell them at stores like Jo-Anns Fabrics, and Micheal's.
Here's one link I've found online for ya...>>>
