want to see what kind of interest to set a price - i am fair - - will show pictures of the group as they are in boxes bags etc.  and estimate the weight - we can figure shipping accordingly - obvious truck shipping - will provide as needed my truck quotes to a business with loading dock or forklift - when requested or you can make your own arrangements.

i have 8 boxes @40 pounds 6 bags @ 40 pounds misc boxes and bags of smaller amounts but I estimate each to be 5000 per unit -  total tokens 85 to 90,000.
tokens are located in Florida zip 34652  will palletize - est weight 700 pounds.
After weighing smaller groups it looks like the bags and boxes contain 4000 per so the deal looks to be 70,000 +
I feel they are worth at least 3.5 cents each - - will accept heighest offers until 10pm tonight DST - first offer of 5c each wins.  Will provide shipping to those who ask

At 5c each why not just use nickles ? a hopper wheel is cheap.  :Scratch-Head:

For my Canadian Friend in Ontario - your best to have it shipped to a service on the border and pick them up.
Flat Rate ends at the $49 parallel. Your probably looking at another $200 for shipping.

I was trying to bring in 60 Cisco phones from the US. I was quoted $279 shipped, $255 with my own courier.
The weight is 3lbs per device (180lbs).

I figured I could do better than the $1450 of shipping built into this difference.

FedEx ground was $1650 C$ air was $1950 ...

just an opinion,

A number of places can legally have a slot machine if it uses gaming tokens instead of real money, changes it from a gambling device to a gaming device. Some places get all upset if you have a slot machine that uses real money. But use tokens and it is like the arcade centers for kids or Chuck E Cheese pizza places, all is just for fun.

Also, many people don't want the problem with pilferage you'd have in a home or friendly environment if you had to put out a bowl of nickels for friends to play. You'd constantly be missing nickels. Not much use stealing tokens. And these tokens are quarter sized, most people prefer playing with something with heft, nickels don't satisfy that feeling. So for 5 cents you are effectively getting to use a 25 cent coin, one-fifth the cost of using real money.

I run mine off of tokens for that very reason.... I use pashilo tokens from Japan, they cost me about 0.0075 each. 3/4 of 1c. I have just over 10,000 coins for 4 machines. I also have a coin roller so its like having a $10 roll of quarters. This is much better than just having big buckets of coins.

Give a person a roll, they play it, get a sense of loss and come looking for more rolls.
Leaving the buckets around - people play a few coins and then that's it.

I found he guy on the pachitalk website.

He was bringing them in via SeaCan along with the paschilos/Pachinko.

I will note that there were certain series that did not work consistenly with a coin comparitor. I suspect that the weight was the primary consideration and not a consistent metal content. I gave these to a buddy with a paschilo that doesn't use a comparitor.

One of the gotchas with tokens is that you want to buy them in sufficient quantities. Even if you were to buy 3 lots of high quality tokens, the metal from one series might not be the same as another series.

The ones advertised above are likely a better quality than what I received.

the tokens are well made with knurled edges just like our quarters - they were shipped by BALLY so they must have been manufactured for Ballys customer in Russia.  Don't understand the markings - they do work in the comparitors with no problems.  This deal I got was for 26 v5500 video pokers shipped from the factory in 1993 to Russia - along with spare parts.  Why and when they were returned I have no idea - I was told they were in storage for 20 years - and by the looks of the machines they were not played at all - no marks on the hopper - monitors no burn in - mint - HOWEVER - they are all 220 - have the usual dead batteries (no acid damage) - but can't seem to get the monitors to work properly once I changed out the 220 to 110/120 transformers and changed the power supply jumper.  Hopefully it is just cap issues as the games play.

GOS - don't mean to hijack your token thread, maybe repost your monitor issue separately, but we had some funky GameMakers from an overseas Air Force base that we converted from 220. I can't remember exactly how we did it, but there's 220 going directly to the monitor, that needs to be reduced to 110. Seemed like we pulled one of the legs or jumpers off. Maybe one of the monitor gurus can chime in.

I think he did start another thread on the monitor 220v issue.
