Older Igt machine.
Ok. Here is details as was provided to me. Machine was set up and working.
Upon moving unit was dropped, someone didn't have the carrying stamina they thought.
Happens to the best of us.
SEE PICTURES. Some door damage part of frame for outer glass is missing/broke.
It does power. I should have gotten pics of it powered didn't think to.
It will power locks reel one. Turning key gives the tilt error 2,3 no spin and other status messages.
After transporting and opening found a capacitor on bottom of machine. Reel one locks
As of now 2 and three free spin. I don't think this is far from functioning
or has some great useable parts. I was thinking about repairing it myself. But I don't have spare parts
And I think someone here may make better use of it.
I'd like to get 200.
Would be a pick up in north orange county California.

Could you post a picture showing the idplate that gives the model and serial number?

Am I off on my pricing?. Anyone any questions? I don't picture parts machines like this coming up that often..
-
Bump up..
Interested but not sure? Ask any questions.
Or make a offer if you have another number in mind.
Will list to cl soon.

Is no one restoring em anymore??
-
too me its not a em its a e
-
Plenty of people are restoring EM machines, but E machines are different gig completely. The E machines are just not very desirable. They have a reputation of being unstable and tested working parts are harder to come by.

Wow. Ok mistake on my end thinking em..
So sounds like I should have probably turned the machine down when offered lol.
Glad I didn't grab the vlc too. One anchor is enough lol
So my value is probably to high as well then?

Sad to say, but yeah, youre probably too high. Sorry to say, but I would be thinking more like $50...not that I'm a buyer at even that price. In a mixed load, the E machines would have a value of $0-25. If the boards are shot, replacing them makes the FINAL price up considerably.
You can either part it out and sell what parts you know are working. Maybe recoup $100 or so, maybe even more? Or call it quits and lesson learned.
And yes, great call on the VLC...you don't want those.
Sorry I couldn't be the bearer of better news.

Roz, you could have smiled, lied and sprinkled fairy dust on your post to at least make him feel better. You're pretty inconsiderate :24: :24:
-
Inconsiderate??!!?? Well, that was nice of you Cowboygames. i was just being honest. Sorry if it offended you. The truth hurts sometimes, there's a reason is machine is not selling.
Shall we sugar coat it for him and have him ask $600??? That seems considerate...
-
LoL.
When I got up and dressed they were the big boy pants.
I appreciate up front no bs answers, skip the sugar.
All input on this is appreciated. Have not worked with these in the past.
So this was a make a call one way or the other. It may end up being track the
Cap that came loose and it goes. But for glass and door part I just don't see this as a easy
Quicker fix and I'm working to many hours to hunt for rare parts.
Thanks again..
No more underoos here lol

Right on the money with the value for an IGT M model if it is mpu board running. Mechanical issues can be easily fixed..
-
Ended up with machine last night while working on my truck
Pics with it powered up.
-
Hope you're not into that one too deep. You really need to stick with early Bslly machines or IGT machines, for the best trade up value anyway.
-
At least the IGT S+ and 2000 machines. The M is an ok model but with board or display issues, are not really going to payout a profit for the repair VS the value you can get for it. I buy at 100 working and sell at 200+, if lucky. Got one now that I have made over 5 service calls to, good thing he is a friend, to fix it. But it is in a store .... doesn't hardly get played, stays off and is expected to work when someone wants to see it .... cold start. Aint going to happen. I will trade a Pachislo to him just to get away from the repair and call issue. :duh: :duh: :Scratch-Head: :duh: :duh:

Not to deep no.
And id take a hundred as of now. Lol.
I'm sure there is some good parts.
I just drove 75 miles and Thought. A possible
Fixer upper. But then reality hit of working 7 days
A week and no time was remembered.
Before being dropped this unit was good and solid.
If I knew where the cap came from id love to solder
It back in and see. May come back to full life who knows.

The IGT "M" machine is really not as scary as everyone who has responded to this tread seems to feel - true there are better machines to make $$ on - but the M machines are fun for the home owner. The prevalent problem is the reel reader arms with the nylon bushings that fall apart over time. Once they go the machine will not run. The easy fix for that part is to replace with Bally hopper bearings. These will last longer than the machine - you have to ream out the center of the bearing so it presses onto the shaft.
-
Make it a hundred lets get it gone to a new home
-
I'll take gas money. 75
-
Ok how about 50.. Gotta be a 50 worth of parts if anything..
-

-
