Title: printer not working
Post by: ALIDMAN on November 12, 2015, 09:49:19 PM
HI everyone  need help here please, I have IGT S 2000 multi nomination wild cherry , I tried to use key chip 17 to get printer to work , the machine said that the printer is enable but it did not work , I do see light and the printer does take the paper in , so the power is not the issue, then I read some of other issues in this section  , and I notice the board for multi nomination needs key chip 45 , so I used the chip and the printer said it was enable , but it still does not work when I try to cash out and it says hand pay , what I am doing wrong / please any one ?

if paper is under  printer head right  it might go to hand pay

What setting are you using for your printer validation?  If it's set to system it will look for a print server to get the validation numbers from.
Go into your I/O tests and see if it will print a test ticket.  If it does then it's definitely a validation issue.  If it gives you an error, what kind of printer is it and what firmware does it have?

What are your payout limits set at? I am guessing the machine is coinless and prior to having the printer, all pays were  keyed off or paid by hand when cashing out?

Also, the Key Chip is dictated by platform and by the MPU. Either of the 2 Key Chips you have work equally well for that machine.

problem solved guys thank you so much, I was reading on some other issues and I found out that I need to set cashless controller to disable also validation type needs to be set to SAS standard mode and that did the trick , thank you guys  :applause: :hail:
