This character had the Moolah Money slot up since Nov 3. I contacted him a few times. I'd ask on an availability time such as "after 8 tomorrow." Twice he simply said "no" but never offered any other time. Finally after my third time he says weekend is better...but no time stated. I text him again Tuesday morning and ask if 8pm tonight is good. He replies yes. I then ask for his address. No response all day! I text him at 830pm...
He replies "I decided to keep it."
WTF ???
I shoot him one more message saying I had made plans specifically to see it, then added if someone gave him my number for any slot service, not to bother calling.
The ad on CL vanishes.
However, today the ad came back!
I can't make anyone not to buy from this guy, but in my opinion he's a rude person and I wouldn't trust him. And, his ad is listed as a dealer.
End of rant. Hope it was entertaining. :Tongue_Out:

Good to get your rant out/off- These days the world is full of Shady crooks. Move on to the next! I honestly get tired of it. Nothing but jack-asses and scammers mostly, There are some folks pre-internet/text that know what a deal should be, A real call,hand shake and a correct deal gone down.

Last night after he blew me off, the ad was gone but maybe there was just a Craiglist glitch of some sort because I refreshed it and it was gone.
But it appears to be here still!

Does this machine operate? I am a buyer of all casino machines and am very interested in this machine. Please let me know and we can go from there. I only deal with cash… Does it pay out in coins or only tickets. It is a great looking machine. Please let me know wat we can do from this point.

The most annoying thing (I'm NOT losing sleep over this... having fun here too!) is that I've never worked on an I game before and just wanted it to tinker with. The only way I learn is by physically having the machine. And after I do that, I become a little more worthy here... I hope! :propeller:

But what if he comes to NLG with a question and you do help him, you may not even know it is him since a username makes people practically anonymous, unless he asks about the very same machine.
Also, was his price of $450 for an I game a good deal or about average? There was an error message on his photo, said Call Attendant, but I suppose that could just be a minor repair or a jackpot lockup.

I thought about the first point... I'd check his IP address if I saw that game with that error. And then...iprobably just do nothing, since I really don't know much about I games anyway.

Still when I sell stuff, I follow through. Or if I did change my mind on selling, I'd have the courtesy to at least let someone know especially if I had said to COME LOOK AT IT, which he did numerous times until we finally set a time.

We don't know what is going on with him, could be just an erratic person that is trying to sell the machine various ways, locally thru people he knows and on craigslist. Maybe it isn't even his, selling for another person that is jerking him around and he in turn can't make the deal. Could be some teenager selling it for a relative but inexperienced in how to handle things. Craigslist is full of unreliable people. Presumably he has your number or contact info, if he decides to sell it he can call you to see if you're still interested. That would put you at the advantage, possibly get it for less, or just ignore his calls.

Good points... I have seen some people out there selling stuff they really don't know about... like those "real Vegas" slots that have Japanese writing all over them. :rotfl:
Bottom line here, believe it or not, is that I REALLY WANT a Game King! :yes:
After working on one for one of the members here who lives fairly close, I realized how SUPERIOR it was to my archaic Game Maker. I was hoping to either convert this one to a GK, if I could get it to a "higher" version. I'm still learning about these. OR I'd just get it going, and flip it, sell my Game Maker, and use that money toward a GK.

I have that exact same cabinet type upgraded to an LCD and 044. I'm running my Super Star Poker board on it, so that cabinet can be easily converted with just mpu and backplane change.
