Title: S2000 Elite can't clear.
Post by: rwalker192 on November 25, 2015, 06:20:07 PM
I just got a Bally Alpha Elite and I had to change the jurisdiction chip. After doing this I tried to do a clear.
I used the 335 clear card. When running the clear my only option was navram and eeprom clear. I did that clear and got navram and eeprom clear successful and eeprom verify successful.
When I reinstalled the game and system card the machine goes to booting up and does not let me into the set up mode.
I'm new to these machines and assume I'm doing something wrong. I did read the clear procedure in the download section and it appears I'm doing it correctly.
I attached pictures of the game.

Thanks
Bob

when you are reinstalling the game, do you let it load up until the game is fully loaded? Depending on your MPU this could take 12-15 minutes.

Yes you cannot get  into setup mode until you actually see the logo screen of the game your are playing in the top box.  Like coolwave said, it can take quite a while. Usually the reels will stop spinning when the machine is ready to go through the setup.

I do. It only takes a couple of minuets then the top screen goes to the bally logo and the reals turn very slow and are noisy. other times it will stop loading and I get navram driver error.

Did this game work before you changed the Jurs chip?

The game card may be corrupt. I don't suppose you have another game you could load into the machine?

He has a lot of cool stuff doesn't he?  It's hard for me to go up there and not come out with something. :stirthepot:

My problem now is the space.  I need to build some slot stands for my garage!!!

Yes I think I could have spent the day there!!  Everywhere I looked I saw something that I liked, plus Jeremy is great to work with.
I think I will be going back often!!

You are going to end up with one of each type eventually.  It's like a collection of alphas.  This is what you "need" to get:  :stirthepot: :propeller:

3 reel S9000 Elite
5 reel S9000 Elite (although you already have one of these)
5 reel S9000 Transparent reel machine (I think you have one of these as well?)
V20/20 S9000E dual video.
V32 S9000 Elite
Alpha S9000 Elite Gamemaker
