I just acquired one of these amazing machines. Best part I only paid $25.00 for he whole thing. Only problem is that i feel that there are parts and or components that may be missing. I would really love to bring this Video Poker machine back to life. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Did you ever get this game working? I aquired a Summit Coin video poker a bit older than yours and got it working by removing the mouse nests, replacing components and fixing a few burned tracers on PCB's.


Video board had a dual capacitor, one of the two tested bad so I replaced it with two individual caps.
A few resistors on the video board were physically separating
One of the mini cards had a burned diode, visibly toast
Re-solder several pins throughout the 5 mini boards


Flyback was good, transistors were all good and most capacitors were good. There are a few components on the video board that I have no idea what they are but thankfully they must be good!

Unfortunately I didn't get it running yet. Shortly after my last show pat I started a new job and haven't gotten around to fidget with the machine.






I'm hoping to get back to the machine soon. Would love to get this machine running if I can't there's a place near my house that might be able to do some work on it

If yours is anything like my machine you will enjoy playing it a lot. There is something different about how the older video slots play. A little slower but they have more personality. Unless it is missing parts I sincerely think you are dealing with individual component issues. I am not an expert but if I can help in any way with pics or anything I will be happy to.

Hello, i did consider making a new thread however i felt replying to this one would better my chances at fixing my Summit Coin LTD poker machine. Do you still have your poker machine? If you do or maybe you might know where things go on the monitor chassis. About 18 months ago i tried changing the monitor in this thing and i did take many pictures of the monitor and chassis, Those files are gone forever. They were saved to a flash drive that i put inside the poker machine, or so i thought. Flash drive gone! Lovely. If you could give me some assistance in getting this thing working again i would be most appreciative and forever greatfull! Thank you very much! Oh yea, its a Wild Joker Poker Summit Coin LTD.

Sorry for the delay. I hope you haven’t given up on your machine. From what I can see my Summit machine is a completely different format, probably a few years older. If video is the only problem you can get around that by using an emulator ($40) and an old 13” lcd monitor from a thrift store. Get the game working and then pursue local help rebuilding the CRT. If the tube isn’t necked (cracked) there are a lot of people who can work on them. Many slot repair shops have lists of other shops around the country, give one a call....but don’t give up. This is history being Preserved. If man made it, man can fix it.

Sorry to hijack. I picked up a machine this morning and have been reading through similar posts. I had nothing but red power light on when first plugged in. After cleaning and checking fuses, I have lights on, fan on etc but no crt.
Pretty sure I have a bad crt and am gathering parts to do the conversion. I believe a 13” monitor will work.

There is a common trend with these Summit Coin poker machines, they stop booting randomly and over time fail to boot at all. I saw one listed online awhile back that overall looked in good condition so I bought it. However it does the same thing, blue screen, no life. One theory is that there is a problem in the eprom read. Im not literate in that process but since all voltages check out and the caps have all been checked/replaced it doesn’t leave many options other than a failed chip or eprom.


If you want to send pictures of the two main boards in he metal box I can show you which ones are often faulty. They ate the boards on the right. One has the red wire cable connector, the other has the backup battery. You might also want to check the big cap on the rectifier board. Big blue.
