Changing Out Pay line Glass on S2000
« on: March 18, 2014, 08:38:22 PM »
Can someone give me some direction on changing out the pay line glass?

I may need to swap out the current larger reels & strips 2/ 1/4" strips to the slightly smaller strips 2"

so in doing that i would need to change out the pay line glass. It looks pretty straight forward
but there has to be something I could goof up.

Any words of wisdom are appreciated. If I can just find the 2 1/4 strips that would save changing out the pay line glass.

I did post a wanted to buy already in the classified section.

Thank folks!!

Loosen the light bracket at the top of the door this will help when you get ready to remove the glass.
Disconnect the VFD and display wiring
if you have a display on the left side of the reels (multi line & coin) slide it up to remove it (disconnect it as well)
Remove the screws that hold the VFD and player display to the door they are at the bottom of bracket that have the VFD and player display
While doing the above hold your hand on the glass to keep it in place until you are ready to remove it, otherwise you have it fall out and bad things happen.
Remove the vfd and player display it might be one piece or 2 separate assemblies.
Glass should come right out when you push out at the bottom from the front be careful.

Thanks Foster. I am hoping I will not have to change it out. I will keep your notes handy if I do need to. Thanks again
