Just a up date THE MUNSTERS order has shipped Tuesday 4 pm from Henderson,Nv ETA to me Friday. You should all have your items by next week.

I just got some new green led's and I'm changing the 32+ ones in the topper flashing ring tonight.
I think the green led's in place of the white will look good for this topper.

That's fantastic! How'd you do that? I've never really looked at the lighting set-up inside my toppers. Did you have to solder in each bulb?

I just installed a bunch of colored LEDs in some of my toppers. It looks MUCH better than the plain old white LEDs.

I will say one thing....

The clear lens colored LEDs from Mouser a pretty darn bright.

The purple, (UV) from ebay aren't nearly as bright, (but still look pretty good).

I couldn't find purple, in a clear lens, round top 5mm at Mouser.

Those e-bay "purple" leds are UV leds in the 395nm wavelegth (UVA radiation).  Long term exposure (i.e. directly viewing the lights) over a long period of time can burn the back of your retina.  It is probably safe to use them with only occassional exposure, but staring at the topper with them for long periods of time is probably not a good idea.
