Multiple errors
« on: May 24, 2017, 02:19:31 PM »
I have an S2000 Triple Double Diamond machine.  At first it was showing Bill Stacker Error and Closure MB.  I changed out Bill Validator and cash box but error kept showing.  Kept playing with and was able to get rid of Bill Stacker Error and MB but started showing Closure M.  Now it is showing Bill Validator Stacker Open and door open MB.  I checked optics and made sure everything is lined up when door is shut.  I have another machine but cant switch I/O boards to check and see if that could be the problem.
Went to
I/O tests
Main battery2 was flashing between 1 and 0
Another one was flashing but can't remember what is was

Tried messing with today and having same problem.
went to
4.1.3 Processor Input Test
Main Door was flashing between 1 and 0

Could my I/0 board be bad?  If so, it is the one attached to MPU board or the one in the door?

What is the voltage of the coin battery? Is this a 500 series?
Battery needs to be above 2.8V.

Can the battery be low even though nothing is showing on the display?

Yes 500 series rarely say low battery.
If it's below 2.8 it is probably the issue

Also remove that Varta battery it is not needed nothing else on 500 series just the battery.
Note you can also solder in a battery holder for the coin battery for easy replacement next time

Also check the traces under where you remove the Varta.
You should clean the area with a mild vinegar and water solution to neutralize any leaking alkali. Flush with water and make sure it is totally dry

Install new battery today machine back up can't get past close the main door. Switched out Optic on working machine and the other machine works fine so it can't be the optic. Any ideas? Thanks

What does the board look like where the Varta battery used to be? Post pictures. Are you sure that you have the optics aligned properly? This is the typical failure mode of a 500 series board caused by battery leaking.

Trying to attach pic of where battery used to be but keep saying image too large. Doesn't appear to be any type of leaking that would cause any problems.

Try taking a new picture but turn down your cameras pixel size..

So your Belly door switch has been bypassed, and the wires are hooked together?
Please remember to make a donation to NLG for mine/our help in repairing your machines problem.. Your donations help keep this site on line.
And remember...
If it's jammed, force it.. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyways...

The person I bought said stopped working one day for no reason.  He would turn machine off when not in use.  Was hoping for a quick fix with battery but no luck.  Could it be one of the I/O boards?  Had some machines about five years and had one go bad but can't remember what error came up.  My other machine is enhanced so I don't have the option to switch parts and pinpoint the problem.

So if I understand what your saying the machine has not worked since you bought it? IO board should not cause the problem your having. Door problems are normally caused by optics, harnes damage, belly door switch, damage to the mpu. From your picture the varta battery was replaced in the past. by its color not with the recommended battery. I point that out because chances are any signs of leakage may have been cleaned off the board. If you can get us pictures of under the battery on the mpu and how the belly door switch has been bypassed(it needs to be bypassed not just unplugged and removed).
