BB converted to 22 inch monitors. The top monitor its NEC and the picture isn't all that great.  What do you recommend for better picture at any angle?

I'm running dual OEM 22" Kristels and the picture is bright and crisp from all angles.  I think Wells Gardner and Ceronix are supposed to be good as well.  I think Jim at Bettor Slots put a post up a while back that listed several monitors and models ranging from top notch to poor.

Thanks,
Jason

I have the nec for the top as well.  What you gain in price break, you loose in viewing angle.  The NEC and the less expensive Ceronix use a TN panel.  The OEM Kristel and the more expensive Ceronix use an IPS panel, which is more expensive, but a much wider viewing angle.  My native BB2 cabinet uses dual IPS monitors and the difference in picture quality is very noticeable.  But when you are in a budget, at least you can play the games with the TN panel monitors.

Here's one for $200

I've never bought from this particular e-bayer, so I'm not making any kind of implied endorsement other than it's an OEM monitor.

You are going to need to buy a 12v power supply with at least 5 amps current, then make your own end to plug to the monitor.  The bb1 doesn't really have a robust enough power supply to drive 2 of these monitors.

This is where I get confused because the NEC is connected to a power supply inside the machine so why couldn't it connect.  I attached a photo.   2 things are plugged in the NEC and Tito

Your NEC monitor is an aftermarket set-up using a computer monitor in the top box with the 110V power cord. The one Rick pointed you to is an OEM monitor that uses 12VDC to power the monitor. You do not plug those into a 110V power supply. That is why Rick said to use the 5 amp 12V power supply.

Like Neon says, the NEC is plugged into a 120v  service outlet inside your cabinet. The OEM Kristels are powered by the bb2 power supply's 12 volt rail.  There's a 4 pin large flat molex connector that supplies power to both monitors on native bb2 cabinets.  The easiest solution, would be to use the AC mains cord that is plugged into your NEC and plug a 12v power "brick" with at least 5 amps (more is better).  You would need to adapt the 12v power supply plug into that 4 pin molex plug that the bb2 monitors use.  Not difficult at all if you have the plug/pins and a meter to make sure you get polarity correct.
