My first attempt at doing a saferam clear, having no luck
« on: July 09, 2016, 01:18:07 PM »
I recently picked up 2 non-working Bally S6000 machines. Each one had errors, (88FF and 83FO).

I'm trying to do a saferam clear, but instead of giving me giving the CH C then CL C, I'm getting 83FO on both machines.

Would someone on here be kind enough to give this newbie a call and tell me what I'm doing wrong?

This 83FO error usually comes up, after a clear, if your mains are newer than your clear chips allow.

83F-0 - Invalid SafeRAMâ„¢ EPROM Wrong EPROM's used for SafeRAMâ„¢ Clear.

I'm sure someone with more knowledge on these battery eaters will chime in  :Tongue_Out:

I'd appreciate the help.

Tim, I'd bet that most of the folks here on NLG are decent, never use swear words and call their Mom everyday. But I'd be careful about posting your phone number out in public like that. There are plenty of internet creeps and douchebags that use bots to search websites and capture info like that, then harass the crap out of you. Better to establish contact using pm or email, then if you want you can exchange telephone numbers. Also, if you will update your NLG profile to show your email address people can contact you that way.
