I had a problem with the DVB bill validator (this topic)
And I replaced it to WBA and want to share to all how I did it.

But step-by-step...

I bought WBA-13-SS validator (used, but works good) (pic. 1)
Bought Universal Protocol Converter (http://agaslots.com/) from ID003 to ID022/023 (pic.2)
Remade original WBA's harness. Cut off all unnecessary wires, and changed connector. (pic.3)
Replaced DBV chassis to WBA (pics.4 and 5)
Cut off rails (pic.6)

Continue...

Connected all harness (pic.7) Converter connects direct to backplane with included harness.
Assembled (pic.8)
Replaced connector on wires to door (pic.9)
Replaced bulbs to LEDs on the door (pics. 10 and 11)
Another detail and all done! (pic.12)

And now my machine accept local currency and i'm happy.

good job, nice to see that you got it working the way you want it to!   :cool_thumb_up:

I think you will be glad about installing the WBA instead of trying to use the older DBV.

Hi. I have bought the protocol converter card and try to set up my S+ machine with an UBA10 or ITL NV10 note reader. Now I am using SP1137

I get the note reader activated (lights in the bezel). Bills are translated to machine, but all notes are rejected. I believe it's due to some wrong settings on my s+. I wonder what SP chip you use, and what settings to put in order to get it working.
