can't load games..

Hello all, I just aquired 2 new cf game cards from seperate sources but I can't get either to load up. I've cleared the ram several times and have even tried 3 different cpu's with different OS, bios and jurisdiction chips. One of them was my 1g cpu with upgraded memory but nothing seems to work. Here's what I experience with each cpu. 1) 512 mpu with 64mb 317-02 os. Result, boots up to reel spin then displays "call attendant" and the reels keep spinning. I shut it off after 20 minutes of that. 2) 512 cpu with 2g os 336-09. Result, boots up to reel spin then displays "call attendant". The reels do not keep spinning. After 20 minutes I shut it off. 3) 1ghz cpu 2g memory upgrade with 2g os 336-11. Result, same as cpu #2. Again after waiting 20 minutes I shut it off.
I'm a bit confused by this as other games load up just fine. Is there something I'm doing wrong that I'm not aware of? Any suggestions?

When it says, call attendat, turn jackpot reset key and it should tell you what is going on.  It is difficult to troubleshoot without a video or some screenshots of where it gets hung up.  Also if these are reel machines, do you have all the reel USB cables connected?

Yes they are 5 reel cabinets. All cables are connected and other games load up and work great. I did turn the attendant key and it said "no game to load" or something to that effect.

No game to load means either the CF card is bad, the cards are reveresed.  What game are you trying to load?

One of them is Blazing 7 Hot Shot Progressive which should have worked in any of the cpu's I tried. The other one I have my doubts about whether it is for alpha 1 or 2, I'm trying to check on that now. It came with what I believe to be an OS but the number/letters on it don't look right to be for an alpha 1. It says PRGM,CL2,V1.00.16R IMG. Maybe I'm mistaken but I think that's alpha 2 so that may explain why that one won't load but Hot Shot definitely should have worked.

That sounds alpha 2 plus it also says cl2 (Class 2) which is a bingo game.  What does the Hot shot Progressive say is the program name?  It should start with ASGxxxxxx

Hmm, the version I have says ASGB7HS01001-01.  You may have the wrong thing. (Does not have the L after the B ASGB7 not ASBBL7)

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of. The game is on what appears to be a aftermarket cf card and does not have the standard bally labeling I'm accustom to seeing. The variance in part# could be due to simple human error or possibly some type of copyright thing. It definitely wasn't my 1st choice to purchase but after looking and looking on the internet and posting WTB ads with no luck i didn't seem to have any other alternative. I've contacted the vendor I bought it from and I'm sending it back on Monday so it can be tested. Who knows what the result will be...

As for the other game, I'm posting a picture of the game and operating system in the hope that someone can identify what alpha platform it is meant to work with, alpha 1 or alpha 2? If it is an alpha 1 game then I'm confused why it won't work with the cpu's i have. The OS is one that I don't recognize plus I'm quite sure I probably don't have the correct bios for it. At this point i've been trying to load the game along with a 336-11 OS but it's not worked. Hopefully someone can help shed some light on the subject...

the other two appear to be class 2 software (bingo/central determination).  For Double Diablo, I have Firmware ID 300781A.  The second card is definitely class 2 something.

Can that work on an Alpha 1? If not that seems unusual since the card came with all the corresponding game parts for an Alpha 1. Reel strips, plack, top plexi, etc.

Class 2 gaming refers to central determination, not alpha 2.  What you need is Class 3, where the game itself determines if you won or not.  Class 2 is used for states where bingo or lottery terminals are the only things allowed by the local state.  They are very common on a lot of Native American reservations.  To use class 2 software you need a backend server where all the machines connect.  This central server is the one that determines if your spin is a winner or not. In class 2 gaming, you play against other players, in class 3 gaming, you play against the house.

The Double Diablo software you got is from an alpha 1 cabinet that was running class 2 software, probably came from an Native American casino where class 3 gaming is not allowed.  There is a Double Diablo version of the software that will work as class 3 on a stand-alone machine like yours, it's the one with id 300781A.

Very informative, thank you for taking the time to explain it. I guess that solves that question, the software is useless to me. That's the 2nd time I've gotten burned by the same seller and the 8th time total I've gotten ripped off in the last 4 weeks by various vendors. I really enjoy this hobby but my patience is wearing thin at this point...

Thanks for letting me know about that. Yes, it is the exact same kit with the same software. I did contact the seller and he said that he would look to see if he had a class 3 to send me. So hopefully I can get at least one of these games working eventually.
