Game King, Multi-D, Touch screen, Froze up after betting.

Hello Fellas,
I have an 2002 GK. It has always been very dependable with no issues. Out of the blue while playing many spins of Keno, I pushed max bet and typicaly it would go right into spin but this time nothing, the game froze. Sometimes the game pauses for a couple of seconds after betting but then spins and that seems like its a normal game function. The only video buttons available now are "Help & See Pays".


I opened the door and turned off the machine hoping it would reboot, negitive. I then pressed the white button on the MPU board and because it was in the middle of a game only a couple of promps were available on screen and the message read, "Operator Menu. Pending Tilts, None". Also, after restarting, it was booting up normaly and read "Inicializing system please wait" and then went right back ito the frozen game. Turning the handpay key was of no effect. I unpluged the machine, pulled the board and reset, pluged back in... still frozen, what to do ?

You probably need to clear it.  Post a picture of your mpu board so we can see what you have and recommend a clear/key chip.  I'm thinking probably key 22 based on the manufacture date.  I'm guessing gameking 5.x 3902.

I feel pretty silly about now...
I realized that I did a max bet for a four card game but little did I notice that the prevoious game was only two cards whiich meant that the game was not going to start until all cards were max selected. The solution...fill out all cards and wah-la...it works perfectly.....nevermind.


P.S. Thank you so much for taking the time out to help me! I have 7 (IGT) machines now and I may be in over my head, not yet but maybe. I've got my eye on 3 more wood grain, round top, S2000 machines. They all match and are in perfect condition. Now to finish the negotiations.

You have a 3902 MPU with Gameking 4.x software.  You could easily upgrade to GK5.0 and get a bigger selection of games.  Then a key 22 would be what you use to clear and setup.  It is worth getting.  Cheap and easy to find, just ask one of our sponsors, and they will set you up with one.

I would love to do what you're suggesting. How many more games can I add and is there a selection of games to choose from? Is there a sponsor and type of games you would recommend? Where and how do I find the sponser? Or just go thorugh NLG's?
