RADEON E4690 VIDEO CARD in SMLD

Solved !!  I purchased e4690 video and put it in my SMLD AVP slot.  Now some of the games will not play.  The ones that don't work are FIrehouse Hounds and Cash Coaster.  If I remove the e4690 card they play fine.  Any ideas on this?  I only have 1gig of memory in the slot.  See posted pic for the error "Requirements not met"

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling with video card in machine there might something that's not loaded that the video card needs. Just a thought.

I thought card was simply plug and play in these slots.  Someone correct me if I am wrong.  Thanks

Plug and play. I have installed dozens of them with no issue. - Have never seen that error actually.

1gb of ram? SMLDs came with 2gb from the factory and 4gb is where you want to be with the multigame setups.

I ordered 4gb of memory for it to see what happens.

You could always pop a 2gb out of another machine to test also.

And you have the correct DVI output going to the correct monitor?

Just as a note, all of our 3.0"ME" conversions come with the 4690 and a 2GB stick with a suggested minimum ram of 4gb but that is partly because the upgrades are required for family 20. My theory is if a 3.0 will rock 4gb, it gets 4gb lol.

Problem solved.  We used dvi to vga slot cables and works like a charm now.  Our dvi to vga adaptor was the problem.  Thanks to all who made suggestions.

Wow, we need to make this a sticky. As soon as I read it I remembered that last June on some G23's we tried the DVI adapter that didn't have all the pins because the adapter wasn't included in our conversions and we had issues. I don't remember the error you got though

Dave  One slot showed the error in the pic and one prompted unsupported which meant card didn't match monitor. Both slots are working perfect now and the adaptors we first used had all pins available.  I'm not sure why they did not work with the all pin adaptors but adding the full dvi to vga cable solved the problem.
