So, progress has been made. The USA made bulbs came in, so I'm switching them out. The bracket for the meters came in today. I have been plugging in the slot machine checking out different systems, bulbs, etc. One most important thing is replacing the old power supply most are dried up rubber.

Searching for the brown white wire for the cash box meter. I located it behind the reels, I ended up pulling new wire through the loom.

Just a short detour, Jan my wife, and I are our two day road trip to Fairbanks and back home in Wasilla. The Lincoln is our traveling car, it sits in the garage during the winter.

I have been working on the third wheel, getting it in line with the rest of the wheels. It's been a wild ride. At least I can work on it in my sunroom, relaxing.
I am studying the payouts, how the work, the correct sequence, the payouts are not a issue, the hopper is 100% functional.

I've isolated the upper cabinet unit. I think it's has some mental issues. The coin lock out coil is activated all of the time.

OK, I found the problem with the coin switch, the release switches, solenoid, were out of wack. Everything needed alignment, cleaning, adjustment.
Actually, it looked like something may have been pushed up against the switches, they were twisted.

The coin blocker was activated and wouldn't release. Wolftalk suggested to look at the key override micro switch. It was toast, Wolftalk once again, the man of the hour.

On to the next problem, checking out the flasher system. It's in the upper unit, I found some useful information here on the forum.

Working on the candle the plastic is the original color, the wiring is factory. This is the original one supplied with the machine. It's nice to have everything together on a machine without sourcing for parts.

Working on the reels. I'm trying to figure out the position of the pay outs. Someone goofed them up. It's been a lot of work deciphering everything.

The next repair is the second and third line to pay out.

Everything works, the coin advancement, except the payout. I've been at this for awhile now.

So, what's working now:
the hopper
the reels are set and payout is correct
the 3 coin advancement
the lockout coil
the lights
the safety
the meters
the wiring is 100% correct in the door
the wiring is 100% correct in the lower cabinet.

After 2 days of going through the machine, I found some cut wires in the reels. I've spent hours looking for the issues.

Update: Tracing each wire, the ones that are cut are the upper and lower wins. Unbelievable, this is going to be some work to figure out the correct sequence.

Update: I have learned a lot, Wolftalk educated me on the way the slot machines are manufactured. Seems that the factory has these wiring harness ready to install and they have extra wires they don't use so they tape them up. Then you have someone like me who is trying to decipher the wiring harness, and get lost trying to figure it out. So, the important thing is to review the wiring, look at everything, how the wires are soldered, factory or non factory.
