Touchscreen issue on my G23

Well I really screwed the pooch on this one. I decided to try and clean the gunk that had accumulated on the screen behind the monitor. I was aware of the ribbon to the touchscreen and was trying not to break it but failed miserably. So what are my options now? Do I have to buy a new monitor or can I replace the touchscreen?

Couple hundred dollar boo boo.  You can just replace the touchscreen.  Just be careful when cutting the old one off the frame.  I used a razor knife and slipped while cutting it off.  Ended up getting 7 stitches in my left wrist  :banghead: :banghead:

Not right off hand.  According to the data on the back of your monitor you have a Digitech touchscreen and controller.  Mine was 3M.

I obtained my replacement touchscreen from Happ, but their website says it's no longer available.  A search of the part number returned this one from Betson.  It also shows it replaces a Digitech part number, so maybe you're right.

What are the horizontal,vertical, and diagonal measurements of your TS?
I have one here that I removed from a dead monitor years ago.
It measures 16"x13" and at 20-1/2" diagonal.

It's too bad I threw out some larger ones last month.
I hate cutting them off the dead LCDs...you have to use a sharp blade to cut thru the sticky rubber....so dangerous really.
I saw a fella cut thru it wearing leather gloves and a guitar string....pretty quick.

Hey Bunker, sorry I didn’t know you had replied to my post.
My touchscreen is a bit bigger
19 3/8” x 12 3/8” x 23”
and after looking into it more I don’t think I would want to install a 3M touchscreen to a DT controller, what some members were doing was installing a 3M controller to there DT touchscreen to make it more responsive.
