Big Bass Help Needed
« on: July 07, 2015, 01:32:56 PM »
BB1 Reel em' in is giving a "no trigger from 8" error (see pic). I'm running the 64mb os and 2000 bios. Machine is dual screen. I've performed multiple clears, changed all batteries, tried multiple cf cards (of the same game file and os files). Game goes through set-up menu fine but never fully comes up after I exit the setup menu. It just sits there for about 60 seconds then throws this error. I'm at a loss on this one. I can run other games in the machine without issue.

On boot up does the upper screen show that the software is loading for the top monitor?

I assume you are running 512mb of RAM?

Yes, the top screen shows to be loading. In the background, it shows an image of the Big Bass screen as it's loading. However, the progress bar goes all the way to the end but never moves past that. Yes, 512mb of RAM.

On boot up you will see the game and OS version numbers, can you post what version this is.

I have a couple of different versions here.

The game version shows to be S555-000-1000. The OS is SSOS-000-1811. Here is a screen shot of the top screen.

it's worked in several of my other bb1 machines using the OEM software. I'm suspecting that maybe one of my os or game card files that I have saved as back-ups are corrupt.

Perhaps it is the CF card itself............

Are you using WMS cards??  I recall the same error in the past "no trigger from 8" being due to wrong type/bad CF card.......

Steve, I am using WMS cards. However, that doesn't mean that one is not bad. Just knowing that you've seen the same error in the past with a bad cf card helps.

Can you post a picture of the main screen during boot up that shows the game and OS versions?

I have a couple of different game/OS version here for Big Bass Bucks,  If I have the same versions as you I can give it a try here.

***Solved*** Turns out my file for the game was somehow corrupt. Machine is up and running now.

Thanks to all,
Brad
