Repairing broken micro switch mount?

I have an IGT S+ with a threaded mounting rod that broke off (It's one of the two mounts that the handle assembly microswitch screws in to.)  Is there a fairly easy way to fix this, or do I need to find a donor machine to get the whole handle assembly?   .  I don't have the missing threaded mount to JB Weld it back on (if that's an option).

Does anyone know what thread size I would need if I try to find something like this?  #2-56 ?

You almost answer your own question. That is a #2 sleeve with 56 threads per inch. That's the screw you need to fit that sleeve. Does this make sense?

I am basing the numbers off a pinball micro switch screw, which should be the same diameter at least.

Know where I can buy a threaded rod? I'm having trouble finding one, but maybe my terminology is wrong.

Can you drill a hole in the handle frame and run a long enough screw through from the other side?

That's a good idea!  Maybe use a nut on each side of the micro switch to keep the spacing.

Not sure that's really necessary as long as the existing post holds the spacing on at least one side. Maybe an extra nut to hold the screw to the frame though and try to find a flat head screw
