Need new board?

Hello everyone. I just bought a Player's Edge 25 cent poker machine for 50 bucks.


When I first turned it on it lit up except for all the buttons, the bill acceptor cycled and the screen just had a line through it.


So I opened her up pulled out the tray for the main board and saw the battery had leaked. I posted a picture of what it look like.


I took some rubbing alcohol cleaned out all the acid took the battery out and replaced it. I knew it wasn't going to be that easy because the same thing is happening. I'm assuming at this point that my board is bad?


I Google searched and saw Rudy deals has my board for like 79 bucks however they're out of stock.


I knew this machine didn't work however I thought for 50 bucks why not try.


Do you guys have any suggestions or help for me please?

Believe it's a 95.

the board you have is a superboard.  it allows you to use software to have five games available. or a multi-game.

 so I've been working on all night on it and wanted to give an update.


So it appears that when I soldered the battery on that the positive wasn't making connection to the bottom of the board when I continuity tested it.  So I redid the connection and now I read 3.6 volts on top and bottom of the board.


So now when I plug it in my screen lights up all the way but flickers I've attached a screenshot for your review.

It's time to invest in another board.
Acid tends to eat sockets and PCB feed through holes.

For the record, you have an IGT Player's Edge Plus (PE+) superboard MPU board, and that's the replacement part you'll want to buy.

Any suggestions where I can find one?

I'm just nervous if I spend that kind of money and there's other issues then just the mpu

No, a single game board would work just as well, it could be the original software on your corroded board may only have a single game installed, you won't know until you plug the chips into a super board.

Well I've been trying my darndest to get this board to work however I get no lights on any of my buttons or the candle.  My white test button does nothing however my screen lights up no picture, I get 5 volts on the board processor chip and one of the diodes I checked.


So I guess I might need a new board, damn...
