Yes it is. When it started doing it again i remember reading in the manual that it would reset on every fifth step, that is what made me look at that switch. When it stopped on the forth coin i moved the arm and it started paying out again. I took the switch out and noticed the switch housing was worn, replaced the switch and is still working

I just adjusted the switch so that it would not close and it payed out just the four coins. readjusted correctly and paid out correctly. So that looks like that was my problem.

Reno, I think you're on to it, as the machine was only paying out a few coins then shutting off. Or it was stopping after a few coins. Only the safety timer needs to be manually reset. Unless he was shutting down the machine then restarting it to operate again. I'll have to read up again on how the switch works with the machine. If it's the same switch and gear it sends a pulse every 4th step up to prevent something from happening. That something eludeds me at the moment. It's one of those things you re-learn when need be.
