Need a flat cable

Hello, first time posting we picked up a Bally 4 reel slot machine I believe its a E2271-4.   I can get 1 or 2 pulls out of it before it "tilts" hit reset and go again for 1 or 2 times.  Im getting error code 72 sometimes and 92 sometimes.  I tried to adjust the 2nd reel sensor but no luck. So I tried reseating flat cables in the back and in the process I broke a 16 pin cable pin.  Part number on the cable is AS-2988-6. any help is greatly appreciated.

Saw your post and my machine is doing the exact same....I can spin with no issues for a while, then out of the blue...I'll tilt and get a 42/92....this will last a while.  I'll come back later after the machine has been off for a while....and I may get 2-3 good spins....or not at all.


Totally erratic.  Wondering if it was the cable issue after all?   So erratic this machine

Hello, I had to replace the cable because I broke the pins.  I had the same problems before and after replacing the cable. What I did was move the real reader to the other spots to make sure I was getting the same errors and after that I just replaced that particular real reader and haven't had issues since

Good to know and thanks for the update.  I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t the cable for me as well
I haven’t quite solved this one, but it’s working now ,more often than not, so it’s manageable I guess

Be sure that all the internals are moving free and agree oiled well.

I think those are OK but I am going to check them again....I’m also playing it a lot and hopes that that will help 👍🏻
