Open door bypass

I have an E-809-5. Trying to find the switch or contact that tells the machine that the door is closed. I need to be able to press down on coin acceptor bar to release handle so I can do some minor repairs.  There is a metal contact inside the lower opening for the door bracket but when I depress it and hit the coin bar I get a TILT. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

just a guess, but some of the machines have a switch near the door lock cam and another switch operated by the lower hinge.

Thanks. I've tried both but I still end up with a TILT. I think that feature may have been removed or disabled in this machine.

the door cam switch and hinge switch are wired in series.  Did you put both in the "door closed" state at the same time?


I've never worked on a E series game - dunno if the pre-1000 series has a digital readout displaying the codes.  Does it?   Activating the coin switch when the door is open throws tilt code 70 - probably.

Thanks. I'll try that but I think something is disabled with the switch. No big deal.
