Because people who have a little more experience than you at this suggested it. If you don't want quality advice then don't ask. I change every battery on every board I do, don't even bother checking. It's a cheap insurance policy.

I did a complete clear then reinstalled my mains.  When I turn on the power the reels cycle then stop when all the 7's are in line.  Doesn't seem correct.  Used to stop in staggered position.  Also, the little green "ready to accept" lights on the bill acceptor show green for about 10-20 seconds then they go out and the red light comes on and doesn't accept any bills.  Even during the 10-20 seconds the bill acceptor is showing ready to accept bill it will not accept anything.  I have no error codes showing.  The dip switches on DSW2 are in the correct position for my model bill acceptor. 

Also, after the clear I had a 31 error, so I guess my default memory is showing a coin hopper.  I cleared that changing setting 61 to 0002.  I have no coin hopper...only bill acceptor (and voucher printer).  Is there a setting for turning on the bill acceptor?


Also, the toggle switch on front of MPU is up to accept bills.


Any quality advice?
