Igt s+ Dbv 145 upgrade to a WBA 12/13 ???

Is this at all possible? I see complete kits being sold at different company's . If it is possible any major changes that need to be done other then maybe a Wba power supply and case/ housing exchange.. Let me know what every one thinks..tk

Yes to do a 145 to WBA changeover  you would need the inner chassis, WBA head and tracker cash can and different power supply
If your 145 is already activated no other programming is needed.

Wouldn't be easier to upgrade to a DBV200? The WBA13ss isn't going to get you any real difference in bill acceptance. You still won't be able to use the colored $100s. The 13 does have 4 way acceptance and I don't know about the 200. For my S+ machines it doesn't really cover the cost to change. If everything else you have is WBA I could see it. My 2¢ worth.

I was concerned with the ID protocol . The Igt s+ has a ID- 023 and I thought the Wba was ID-024 which is more for the igt s2000 which runs an ID-024 in the processor.. So no communication issues ?

Yes you will have to use the correct 4mg eprom for the WBA13 and it will need to be programmed with the IDO 22/23 software to run both the machine and the b/v. I believe the latest version is 3.60-03. I got this from another post, I hope it's correct.

I don't know the latest upgrade for them but I guess similar to the WBA. Most of the vendors on the home page carry B/Vs. Check with any of them. You'll likely get a better deal than some on E-Bay. And they'll let you know the upgrades on it. Good luck on which ever you choose.

Off-hand, it will accept large portrait bills including $5s (but not the ones with the purple 5 on the back), through $100s (obviously not the brand new ones).

The DBV-200 will be a much easier upgrade.  You will also need a new power supply unless the power supply box in your machine already has vents on it.  The power supplies enclosed in the non-vented covers don't have enough voltage to drive the 200.
