GameMaker HD Compatibility Game
« on: June 07, 2018, 06:06:44 AM »
Hi,

I own a Bally Gamemaker HD Cinevision.
I have no problem with it, just a wondering question.

Is this machine compatible with other games ?
Is it compatible with old games ? Like Lucky Luigi Pizzeria, all the AVG---- CF card.
Is it compatible with more recent game ? (As it is a 1Ghz / 1G RAM)

Thank you very much if there is expert of this platform :)

Yes, it is basically an alpha video slot.  Anything that runs on a V20 (AVGxxxxx) will work on it.  The only issue is the button panel.  Some games do not support the gamemaker HD USB button panel.  One way to get around it is to make a harness to connect the repeat bet button to the max bet pins on the standard player panel connector on the door, then you can play all games by just hitting "max bet."

It will work with some of the newer 3xxxxx games (alpha 2), but not all of them.  There is a thread here of alpha 2 games that run on a 1ghz alpha 1 mpu.  Just do a search for it.

Hi Rick,

Thank you for your reply.
  • Ok for the AVGxxxxx. And does anyone start a sheet about which one is compatible with Gamemaker HD USB button panel ? Or do we have some exemples of knowing games compatibles ?
  • Is there any risk to Clear NVRAM and try game ? I can't "break" the Os or anything else ? Just have to clear again and reinstall Gamemaker HD suite ?
  • About Alpha 2 games, if i'm correct, there is no horizontal one screen only Alpha 2 game ? Does a 2 screen games could work on Cinevision ? Again, do we have some exemples of knowing Alpha 2 games compatible with Gamemaker HD cinevision ? (did some search in the forum but did not find it...)
Thank you again if anybody can help  :applause:

Ok, so i continue my investigation ^^

So i received a Lucky Luigi's Pizzeria.
Installed it on my Bally Cinevision Gamemaker HD.
Everything is ok but as mentioned, the USB panel doesn't work. I have to use the screen touch to play.
So i think i'm going to order an harness of Alpha m9000.
Do you confirm that i have to use Top one and bottom one from the 3 Connectors in photo ?
I can directly solder to the existing wires of the buttons of the USB panel ?

Investigations continue...

I have to go and dig out my harness to see which button.  You can easily make a harness with just the 2 wires if you have the molex parts and a crimp tool.  But in essence it is the max bet button and the common ground.  You unplug the current connector from the player panel and attach this one in it's place.  I wouldn't solder connections, they are messy.

Ok, manage to do it!
In fact i bought an harness from M9000, i bought an Atx 24 wires to 20. I changed some wires and then works perfectly with different Alpha 1 games! I wired Bet 1,2,3,4,5 and Bet Max.
