1978 bally 873 5 line fruit 5 cent

I need help!!! I'm new to all this ,but scored on a killer deal. For 200 dollars I got the 78 873 and a igt wild cherry. The 873 is in rough shape but kinda works. I think it isn't registering when y po u put a coin in because the pull lever doesn't unlock. I rigged it to pull and when it pays out the hopper doesn't stop

Can you post a few pictures of your machine? You are saying Bally and IGT, both are different company's, but IGT did rebuild so machines and install there ID Tags.. Im guessing this is what you have..

Just need help with the Bally 873. The hopper doesn't stop when it is done paying out. Also I dont think whatever it is that unlocks the pull lever when a coin is inserted isn't working

I also have a Bally 873 from 1978, and I always made an assumption based on the U.S. economy of the time. My machine pays 3 coins for one cherry, so I figured that by 1978 it wasn't enough for people to win only 2 coins when they're likely playing 5. But yours shows that it pays 2.

Does anyone know why mine pays 3 coins for a cherry, which means it pays 6 coins if it lands on lines 2&4 or 3&5?

Does anyone have a general idea of what mine is worth? Its about 80 percent functional all the mechanical parts work just think its a few bad relays or wires
