Bally v32 touch screen no response

I loaded games like Fu Dao Le and Glacier Gold and the touchscreen is fine. When I load Monopoly or Michael Jackson Icon, touchscreen wont work. I tried reloading Glacier Gold and touch screen works. Anyone know what could be the issue on why touchscreen works with some games and not with others?

The V32 touch screens are flaky.  I bet on those times when the touchscreen is not working, if you open the cabinet with the monitor in the up position (horizontal position) that the touchscreen will work while in the up position, then you bring it down and it doesn't work right.  If you do a touchscreen test, you will see that the response is off by a lot and it just kind of wiggles even if you don't touch.  The solution that has always worked for me was replacing the touchscreen controller.  They can be found on e-bay for about $30.

I put the screen horizontal and tried all positions and it doesnt work with Michael Jackson Icon, but will work with the other games I mentioned. Any ideas? I ordered a controller just in case....

I've never had issues with michael jackson.  If you are not getting a touchscreen error tilt, then it's a malfunction of the controller.  Give it a go, it's the cheapest solution to try.

Well....changed the controller out.....still no luck. Maybe OS? 370 will work with MJ Icon?

I've been using 366J with MJ, I don't think OS is the issue.  It's odd that you only have the issue with MJ Icon.  If you go into the attendant menu and do a touchscreen test, is there any response whatsoever during the touchscreen test?

Also, out of curiosity, do you have 4GB of ram on your MPU?  Not sure if that makes any difference, but you never know with these things.  I've only ever tried MJ Icon with 4GB of ram.

If changing the touchscreen controller didn't make a difference, the next step is to try another MPU, although this is the point of desperation.  It is quite the odd behavior, and I have never experienced that.  I've helped setup no less than 30 MJ Icons for various people and never ran into your issue.  Sorry I can't be of any further help as I'm out of ideas to try at this point.
