Igt pe poker 1070c 1989 help!

Hey everyone bought a 1989 pe poker 1070c machine. The lights all work ,the deal button activates the coin dispenser, but I cant get the screen to turn on. Any ideas were to start?

So just a update, all sounds work, buttons work, candle on top is flashing fine, button lights still wont turn on. As for the monitor, peviousnowner said he was able to get it to turn in briefly. I've been searching and fused all look good, gonna replace them all just in case, battery is good. But when plugged in nothing on the tube of the monitor lights up. So makes me think power isnt going to it. I checked the big transformer and it seems fine. My question now is on the mpu there is a silver relay, and next to it a smaller transformer. Can one of these be causing the screen to not turn on? Like it's not getting juice? Any help would be great.

I'm not an expert on monitors at all. Since it sounds like the machine is working, just not the screen, I'm going to move this topic from the PE+ category to the monitor repair tech support category for now in the hopes that someone there may be able to help you.

FWIWI remember when my PE machine had monitor issues I could turn on the machine and the monitor would be dark. You could rub your forearm against the front monitor glass and you'd feel a static on your arm hairs.
If I left the machine on, after an hour or two the monitor would come on.
I ended up replacing the whole monitor unit instead of troubleshooting at component level.

Good to know, I feel a little static but not a lot. Were did you get a replacement if you dont mind me asking

I got a couple rebuilt directly from Ceronix that wouldn't work for unknown reasons.I don't remember if I got a working used one from ebay, or one of the fine folks here on the forum.Sorry, it was many years ago.

This is confusing. You said "the deal button activates the coin dispenser..."
So you mean if you press DEAL, then the hopper starts dispensing coins?
If so, there's other issues than the monitor.
My last monitor problem like yours was not the monitor at all. It was a voltage regulator on the MPU board. This was a different machine though. With that said, does your machine completely work far as you know? You should be able then to insert a coin, press deal, play the game, not seeing the outcome, but you should still "hear the win."

So when I first got it home I was able to boot it up and when I hit the buttons I hear the beeps. All except the 1 credit button. And for the first 10 times I pushed the deal button it would activate the coin dispenser and give out coins. I couldnt hear anything other than those. No nb winning noises or nothing. I was wondering about the transformer on the mpu, but cant find much about it. From what I can tell all lights on the machine work less the button lights and the screen. I also pulled all the chips and re seated them yesterday hoping maybe a connector was bad. Didnt help

Ok update, I've been messing with it and cycling thru the test modes. Wss able to get the counters to work! So must be in game mode. Also had some button lights come nm on but not all of them. So now st this point I'm thinking it's the board. I also have 1 fuse slot that when I remove the fuse it does nothing. Changed the fuse still nothing and tried to test for power and got nothing. So I'm wondering if the transformer on the mpu is bad or something else on the mpu. I know there is a 5v relay, silver one but it looks fine.any ideas?
