BB3 Reel to video question

Here's my question...is it worth it to buy an Aftershock for under $1000 to then convert it to a regular BB3 machine?  I know it means removing the stepper setup, replacing the lower monitor and changing the button panel.....am I missing something?  What's the cost there and are the parts coming out worth the parts going in?

A slot machine collector would say that's a perfect way to ruin that gaming machine.
At that time when it came out, it had the best music track of any slot machine on the gaming floor.
But.....it didn't come out that long ago, and it's going to be a while before it's "worth" anything.

"What's the cost there" depends on your zipcode really.

It really only matters if you want a BB3 video machine, and the costs to get one running are reasonable to YOU.  If I needed one I would consider the $$ and effort required to obtain the necessary parts and skill level needed to do the conversion.

One was for sale locally here along with some other machines.  Not in perfect shape of course,  but working.   Guy never responded to messages though,  and then pulled the listing.
