s2000 Reverse coin detection error

I am a first time poster, so please ignore my "newbie-ness".  I have a reverse coin detection error on my "Dozens of Diamonds- pays 12x" that I can't figure out.  Any assistance would be appreciated.  Don't want to start pulling wires.  The machine has a bill acceptor so is coinless. Both the coin comparitor and the mechanism bracket are installed. Both plugs to bracket are plugged in, comparitor is unpluged.


I have attached pictures of machine and serial number plate.

Welcome to NLG!
If the comparitor is there and the plugs that go to it are hanging loose, try plugging them in. The circuit needs to be closed whether you use coins or not. Generally when coins aren't used a special plug is installed to simulate a comparitor. Above all, don't plug or unplug anything with the machine turned on

I don't think the comparator needs to be plugged in, I have got this error before from having the wrong decoder in the coin mechanism, but if you are not using coins that should not be the issue. The error usually clears just by opening and closing the door a couple of times. If that does not work, I would reseated the I/O cards, if that isn't the issue I would remove the coin mechanism, and splice the wiring harness.

Thank you for your responses...When I plug in the Comparitor I get a Coin In Jam message.  Tried put a quarter in the comparitor...no change. What is the process to splice or jump the wiring harness...I have seen on other posts that this assists with coin in jam errors.

I'm at work and don't have a pic handy of that jumper, maybe someone can post one today or check our old site, nlg.net, and there is a multitude of info. In your menu 7 settings is coinless set for enabled?

If you look closely at the plug they are labeled as 2,6,7 I was looking at another jumper plug I have and it is actually has 1,6,7 jumped so either way will work.

I thought it was the same as S+ with 4 wires together. 2,4,6, and 10

This plug came out of a working s2000 machine. I have never seen an s+ with a jumper on it.
