Ballys 6000 and 2 year old Granddaughter don't mix. LOL

Ok I have a ballys 6000 and my granddaughter loves to play with it adding quarters and watching the reels spin.  Problem is she sometimes (A lot of times) ads another coin while reels are still spinning and we get a 22 error code. (22 Invalid Coin A coin has passed the coin optics during a reel spin)

I have been doing a soft ram clear to get rid of the error but this is getting old fast.  LOL  is there an easier way to clear this error other then ram clear?

Give her one quarter at a time. Each time it's used come to Grandpa for another. Which is the lesser of 2 evils?        
She's a kid they have lots of extra energy. If she gets tired of it explain the one coin per play method. If she doesn't you don't have to do the Ram clears anymore.

Shouldn't the comparitor drop it to the tray and not go through the optics to cause an error?

I would have thought so but it does look like after a closer look someone (who ever had the machine before me) Did something to make the comparitor work since I see the light is off.

Once thing I did notice also (subject change kind if)  is it is easy to find error codes all over the net but no where does it say how to fix what ever the code it.  Oh well.........
