IGT S+ Not taking coins
« on: February 01, 2021, 12:08:42 PM »
Hello
I am new to all this.  I recently purchased an s  and after getting Thru several issues I am now stuck.  There are no errors but it wont take any coins.  I did do a reset on it to clean the 61 -1 loop after the battery reset.  The light on the comparator doe snot turn on.   How would i run a diagnostics what can the issue be?  Are there any settings I need to change after the reset?
Thanks in advance

Ok the first thing I would check is. Machine on do the reels spin freely or are they hard to spin with your hand.
If they spin freely then check the plug that runs from the power supply to the Motherboard try to wiggle it and see if the reels lock up.
Take a few pictures and report back
The coin comparator will not light up unless the door is closed. Is their a coin in the comparator?

Do the reels spin when you close the door ? this is the machines way of telling you that the door close was recognized.
Double check that your cash can door is closed and remains closed. If it senses that a door is open the machine won't play.
I have 3 machines

Below the coin compairitor there is a small square abc optic. There is a mini button that will put a test credit on the machine (with the door open).

I dont see anything bellow the comparator. Im going to get the pictures.  the candle is also flashing.  However i was able to do a reset  so somehow it knows the door is closed but the candle is flashing fast on the bottom only which I beleive indicates an open door.  What would be the best way to determine which door it thinks is open

ok so it looked like the door wasnt latching correctly so i found the reason why.  It was the wire for the light.  Got it all taken care of.  Thank you for your help.  Now to figure out hoe to set this thing up.

The candle light will continue to flash after a door close until the first game is played.
